Bakuchiol Combined With Vanilla Tahitensis: the Theory…
A recent study reported in the Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology explored the combination of Bakuchiol and Vanilla tahitensis extract for improvement of naturally aged skin. As we know cumulative exposure over the period of several years can lead to premature aging. As a result, skin loses its elasticity due to loss of extracellular matrix and tends to worn down due to the effect of gravity.
The current scientific article explored the effect UVA in different skin models and how the combination helps reverses UV induced damages. The study highlighted decreased inflammation and senescence induced by UVA by treating with the combination of Bakuchiol and Vanilla tahitensis extract. The higher skin models represented redensifying the skin through induction of Glycosaminoglycans (Hyaluronic acid is one of them) that adds to the firmness of the skin.
… Confirmed by a Clinical Study
After exploring the key fundamental scientific questions, the clinical study was performed on healthy female volunteers to investigate the combination of Bakuchiol and Vanilla tahitensis extract for key benefits in naturally aged skin. The study highlighted the reduction of both depth and volume of skin deformation from baseline to day 56 with 95% of subjects showed a significantly improvement in skin firmness. The overall skin radiance was significant in 80% of users on Day 56. The formulations were very well tolerated and presented great safety data during the clinical study.
